2 Alabama stars unanimous All-Americans, 3 consensus picks

The final official All-American team released Wednesday put two Alabama players unanimous selections with three others in consensus status.

Jonah Williams and Quinnen Williams are unanimous after adding the American Football Coaches Association to the list. Tua Tagovailoa and Deionte Thompson joined Jerry Jeudy as consensus All-Americans.

Consensus status requires selection on three of the five teams while unanimous needs a clean sweep.

Alabama now has 19 unanimous All-Americans in the Nick Saban era and 33 overall in program history. The unanimous picks in Saban’s tenure include Andre Smith (2008), Mark Ingram and Rolando McClain (2009), Trent Richardson, Mark Barron and Barrett Jones (2011) and Dee Milliner and Chance Warmack (2012), C.J. Mosley (2013), Amari Cooper (2014), Landon Collins (2014), Derrick Henry (2015), Reggie Ragland (2015), Jonathan Allen (2016), Reuben Foster (2016) and Cam Robinson (2016), Minkah Fitzpatrick (2017), Jonah Williams and Quinnen Williams (2018).
