Alabama Crimson Tide

A look at what happened in Alabama Crimson Tide football this week

Yeah, it’s Hate Week — unless that’s not politically correct, then it’s Tennessee Week unless you live north of Ardmore, then it’s Alabama week.

But there hasn’t been much to hate lately for those on the south side of the state line. Philip Fulmer’s hasn’t coached in years (but now roams the sideline as AD, offering such guidance as leading the locker room in proclaiming they hate the whole state of Alabama); Lane Kiffin’s since been assimilated, Butch Jones is up next, and Jeremy Pruitt came from Nick Saban’s staff.

In fact, the last time Tennessee (3-3, 1-2 SEC) did beat Alabama (7-0, 4-0), the two coaches were Fulmer and Mike Shula. So a senior at Alabama was actually in the fourth grade the last time Tennessee won. Between the dominance and the 29-point spread, it’s more like “General Disdain and Pity Week.”

Anyway, here’s a look at what we’ve written about in Alabama football this week, before you head out to your watch party for the 2:30 p.m. game on CBS.
