Alabama Crimson Tide announces home-and-home series with West Virginia

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama and West Virginia declared a home-and-home series in between the Crimson Tide and Mountaineers for 2026 and 2027 on Friday.

“We are pleased to be in a position to include a further leading, non-meeting opponent to our upcoming home-and-residences with West Virginia,” claimed Alabama Director of Athletics Greg Byrne. “This series provides our student-athletes, coaches, workers and followers the prospect to participate in in and encounter superb on-campus matchups to open the 2026 and 2027 seasons. As we go on to build out our upcoming schedules, we will do the job to incorporate even a lot more home-and-residences of this caliber.”

The first assembly will acquire location in Morgantown, W.Va., on Sept. 5, 2026, with West Virginia returning the excursion to Tuscaloosa on Sept. 4, 2027.

The 2026 and 2027 matchups will be just the second and third conferences in between the two schools and the first time they will meet up with on just about every other’s home fields. Alabama is scheduled to open the 2019 period on Aug. 31 in Atlanta towards Duke in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Match before starting the home routine towards New Mexico State on Sept. 7.
