Alabama lands commitment from in-state defensive tackle for 2020 class

Alabama landed an eighth commitment for its 2020 recruiting class when Jah-Marien Latham tweeted his commitment to the Crimson Tide.

Latham is from Reform, Alabama (Pickens County High School) and is listed at 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds. He had other offers from South Carolina and UAB, according to 247 Sports. He’s Alabama’s second defensive line commitment for that class.

“Also, thanks to the PCHS family for always supporting me,” he tweeted. “Last, I want to say thanks to every school and every coach that has been recruiting me. With that being said, I am excited to announce that I am verbally committed to The University of Alabama! Roll Tide!”

Alabama has the No. 1 recruiting class in the SEC in 2020, and No. 3 in the country behind Miami and Ohio State.

Here are some highlights of Latham:
