Alabama will be without a starter and two other players in its upcoming College Football Playoff semifinal game against Oklahoma.
Coach Nick Saban announced Monday that starting left guard Deonte Brown, tight end Kedrick James and offensive lineman Elliot Baker have all been suspended “due to a violation of team rules and policies.”
The three did not make the trip to the Orange Bowl with the rest of the team.

Brown became the Crimson Tide’s starting left guard in October.
No. 1 Alabama will face No. 4 Oklahoma on Dec. 29 at 5 p.m. The winner will earn a spot in the CFP National Championship.
