Alabama went through its third practice of Mississippi State week Wednesday afternoon.
Here are some notes from the media viewing period:
— Star wide receiver Jerry Jeudy wasn’t out there during the media viewing period. Wide receivers Henry Ruggs (leg) and DeVonta Smith (hamstring) were both practicing. Tyrell Shavers was the third receiver with the first group during drills with Jeudy not out there.
— Running back Najee Harris (ankle) was practicing and seemed to be moving pretty well during drills. Backup QB Jalen Hurts (ankle) was practicing but was moving gingerly during one footwork drill and didn’t take part in another one.
— Redshirt freshman Chadarius Townsend is still working with the defensive backs.
— Deonte Brown continues to work with the first-team offensive line at left guard.
— Jared Mayden continues to work as Alabama’s sixth defensive back. The dime package continues to be Saivion Smith and Patrick Surtain at cornerback, Shyheim Carter at nickel back, Xavier McKinney at dime back and Deionte Thompson and Mayden at safety.
