Alabama went through its third bye week practice Thursday afternoon, working inside on a rainy day in Tuscaloosa.
Here are some notes from a brief media viewing period:
— Wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) was participating in drills but was moving around very gingerly.
— Quarterback Jalen Hurts (ankle) wasn’t practicing.
— Reserve tight end Kedrick James (ankle) was again practicing.
— It looked like wide receiver Chadarius Townsend and running back Ronnie Clark were among the scholarship players working with the scout team.
— The cornerback line during drills was led by Saivion Smith. He was followed by Patrick Surtain, Nigel Knott, D.J. Lewis and Josh Jobe.
