Almost every season the Alabama Crimson Tide send multiple players to the NFL Draft, which includes several first-round selections each year. Well, Terrell Lewis is ready to boost his draft stock in 2019 before making the journey to the league.
The junior linebacker would’ve been an important piece to Nick Saban’s defense this year, but an unfortunate ACL tear in the summer ended his regular season. Even though Lewis has tons of potential, his value could definitely benefit from another year at Alabama.
Lewis is surprisingly back on the practice field, but his official status for the Cotton Bowl is still unclear. He’s been increasing his workload ever since the SEC Championship.
Regardless of whether he plays this season or not for the Crimson Tide, the star linebacker will return for the 2019 season.

There is certainly some risk in skipping the NFL for another season of college football. Nonetheless, Alabama has sent many linebackers to the next level, and Lewis might be the next one up.
As for the Cotton Bowl, Oklahoma and Alabama will kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET from Hard Rock Stadium.
The game will be televised on ESPN.
