Of note: Alfano is one of Alabama’s two 5-star prospects, the No. 1 recruit in New Jersey and listed as an early enrollee. He made 10 sacks, forced six fumbles and broke up three passes this season. He’ll play in the All-American Bowl on Jan. 5.

 

Jordan Battle

Position: Safety

Will Reichard

Of note: The younger brother of current Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Taulia is the only quarterback in Alabama high school history to have at least four 400-yard passing games in his career. Taulia is also listed as an early enrollee.

 

Brandon Turnage

Position: Defensive back

High school: Lafayette (Oxford, Mississippi)

Chose Alabama over: Ole Miss, Georgia, Auburn

Of note: Turnage was more than just a cornerback for Lafayette. He also scored several touchdowns this season as a wide receiver. He will compete in the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 3.

 

Paul Tyson

Of note: When Tyson takes the field for Alabama, he’ll be playing in a stadium named after his great grandfather, Paul “Bear” Bryant, who won six championships as the Crimson Tide’s coach. Tyson is already practicing with Alabama alongside high school teammate Pierce Quick.

Christian Williams

Position: Defensive back

High school: Daphne (Daphne, Alabama)

Of note: Although Williams is a top cornerback prospect, he made his impact felt all over the field this season, scoring touchdowns as a kick returner and a wide receiver as well as blocking a field goal and a punt.

 

Byron Young

Position: Defensive line

High school: West Jones (Laurel, Mississippi)

Height: 6-4

Chose Alabama over: Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Georgia

Of note: Young finished with 17.5 sacks, 126 tackles and two touchdowns this season for West Jones, according to a tweet he posted. He will compete in the All-American Bowl on Jan. 5.
