Bama commits react to major flips on Saturday night

It wasn’t a quiet Saturday night for Alabama recruiting in any sense of the word.

The Crimson Tide kicked off the evening flipping 5-star defensive back Dax Hill, the No. 1 safety in the country, from Michigan and followed up a few hours later flipping 4-star cornerback Jeffery Carter from Texas A&M (it’s second flip from Texas A&M in as many weeks).

This on the heels of signing arguably the nation’s top defensive backs class in 2018 that included 5-star cornerback Patrick Surtain II and the nation’s No. 1 junior college cornerback in Savion Smith, both who now play major roles in Alabama’s secondary.

The Tide’s class currently ranks No. 1 in the nation, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings, and shows no signs of slowing down as we draw closer to the Early Signing Period.

Bama’s commitments were excited about the news on Saturday night and let it be known on Twitter.
