Bleacher Report Names New Potential Transfer Destination For Jalen Hurts

This weekend, Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts will walk across the stage for his graduation. Immediately following his graduation, college football fans and writers around the country will wait to find out if he plans to transfer from the Crimson Tide football program.

Everyone expected Hurts to take advantage of the NCAA’s new transfer rule, which allows players to keep their red-shirt if they play in four or fewer games. Hurts decided to remain with the Tide and played hero in the SEC title game after Tua Tagovailoa went down with an injury.

After leading Alabama to a comeback win over Georgia, most still expect Hurts to transfer – especially given his graduate transfer status.

So, where could he go? Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller named Mississippi State as a potential landing spot.

Alabama would probably try to block this since it’s a division rival, but how great would it be if he landed at Mississippi State to replace the graduating Nick Fitzgerald? The Bulldogs do have Keytaon Thompson as the starter-in-waiting, but he hasn’t shown enough over the past two seasons to justify Mississippi State saying “Thanks, but no thanks” to Hurts if he wanted to go there.

Are the Bulldogs in contention for Hurts? We’ll have to wait and see.
