Alabama and LSU are preparing for a huge clash in Death Valley on Saturday night. The matchup between the No. 1 Crimson Tide and the No. 3 Tigers has created a lot of hype in Baton Rouge, and the energy around Tiger Stadium will be electric all day.
Part of that buzz will be supplied by the ESPN College GameDay crew, which will broadcast live from Baton Rouge on Saturday morning. LSU and Alabama both ended up in the top four of the first College Football Playoff rankings released this week. The teams will enter the game with their highest combined ranking since 2011, when No. 1 LSU defeated No. 2 Alabama 9-6 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
LSU is advising fans to head to campus in the early afternoon and plan to enter Tiger Stadium at least an hour early for the matchup against Alabama. The school is expecting one of the largest crowds ever on campus. Kickoff for the matchup is set for 7 p.m. CT on CBS.
College GameDay personalities David Pollack and Rece Davis met with reporters on Friday morning. The analysts delivered their thoughts on the game, and broke down the keys to victory for each side.
