On SEC Network’s Talking out Loud Monday evening, hosts Marcus Spears, a former LSU defensive lineman, and Greg McElroy, a former Alabama quarterback, discussed this weekend’s SEC Championship game between No. 1 ranked Alabama (12-0) and No. 4 ranked Georgia (11-1).
The game is set to take place Saturday, Dec. 1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the SEC Championship. Kickoff for the game between the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide is set for 4 p.m. ET, with CBS set to televise the game. Alabama leads the all-time series 39-25-4 over Georgia. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 4 by the Associated Press, Coaches’ Poll, and College Football Playoff Rankings. The Crimson Tide are coming off a 52-21 home win over Auburn. Georgia entered the season ranked as the No. 3 team in the country behind only Alabama and Clemson after coming off a 13-2 season, winning the Southeastern Conference title and falling to Alabama in overtime of the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Before breaking down the game themselves, Spears and McElroy brought on fellow SEC Network college football analyst Matt Stinchcomb, a former Georgia offensive lineman, to give his take on the highly anticipated matchup and how the Bulldogs can slow down Alabama’s prolific offense.
