Kyler Murray may not have to be without his top wide receiver against Alabama.
Oklahoma star wide receiver Marquise Brown, who suffered a foot injury during the Big 12 title game Dec. 1, expects to play on Saturday versus the Crimson Tide.
“It’s still too early to tell how close I’ll be (to 100 percent),” Brown said, “but I’m anticipating playing.”
Brown is eighth nationally with 1,318 receiving yards, leads Oklahoma with 75 catches and is tied for the team-lead with 10 touchdown catches.
“You’ve got to prepare like he’s going to play and that he’s going to be 100 percent healthy,” Alabama co-defensive coordinator Pete Golding said. “He’s a dynamic part of their offense, so obviously you’re going to have to plan for him. You can’t exhaust all your reps on that obviously because if he doesn’t play then you didn’t work the other stuff, but you’ve got to have a plan for him and right now we’re planning that he’s going to play.”
