With the conference championships taking place today, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum unveiled his predictions for all the major matchups.
During his appearance on SportsCenter, Finebaum saved the SEC Championship for last, which isn’t exactly shocking. Although he constantly raves about the depth within the conference, even he can’t pick against the Crimson Tide.
Georgia will look to get revenge for its championship loss to Alabama, but Finebaum doesn’t see that happening.
“I’m going to try and alliterate here with Tua Time! Tide takes No. 1 seed and maybe he makes his claim for the Heisman as well,” Finebaum said. “Big night for Tua.”
Finebaum believes another fantastic showing from Tua Tagovailoa would strengthen his case for the Heisman Trophy. His last play against the Bulldogs was the game-winning touchdown pass to win the national championship.
Alabama and Georgia will kick off at 4:00 p.m. ET from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
