The last two postseason games between Alabama and Georgia, the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship and 2012 SEC Championship, have been among the best college football games of the last decade. Over the past few years, the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs, ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the 247Sports College Team Talent rankings, have battled it out in several notable meetings on the recruiting trail.
Here, we’ll focus on recruiting battles between 10 players for both Alabama and Georgia that will see the field during Saturday’s SEC Championship Game from Atlanta.
With the help of Dawgs247’s Kipp Adams, we look back on the 10 aforementioned recruitments, five of which went the Tide’s way and five the Bulldogs’ way ahead of tomorrow’s matchup.
Of course, these two programs have battled and are still battling for top recruits across the country. Earlier this week, BamaOnLine took a look at 10 recruits both in the 2019 and ’20 classes that could be influenced by this weekend’s outcome.
