We’re just 16 days away from the Early Signing Period in college football, the first opportunity for prospects to make it official and sign with their schools of choice.
It’s the sophomore year of the expedited recruiting calendar and we’ve seen the Alabama staff already adjust to the timetable. Last week, ahead of the SEC Championship Game, the Crimson Tide staff — with the exception of head coach Nick Saban — hit the road to visit top targets and commitments. In years past, those trips didn’t happen until following the conference championship as coaches turned all their efforts towards preparing for the game.
With Dec. 19 marking the end of many recruitments in the 2019 class, one would imagine the Alabama staff had to adjust schedules to hit the road with so few days left to see priority targets.
Bama sits with the No. 1-ranked class in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings, with 22 commitments aboard.
The majority of the 22 plan to sign early with the program, however, some have yet to shut down their recruitments.
Here, BamaOnLine takes a look at each UA commitment, where they sit in the latest 247Sports Composite Rankings, when they plan to sign and what teams pose the biggest threat to Alabama in their efforts to sign said Bama pledge.
